La Petit Vanguardist Le Marx Riesling 2023

The fruit is sourced from Ben Marx (Gertie wines) Clare Valley vineyard. It is wild fermented in large ceramic eggs and left on its lees for six months. A quality wine here. Fancy, even. Preserved lemon, a touch of Japanese pickled ginger, red apple, hazy lime juice, some cashew nut savoury elements in play. Texture is waxy and a little grippy, which is an ideal place to be for riesling. Layered and complex, this is straight up wicked good drinking.
