Young Kyatt, the winemaker here, is a man of great energy and decided vision for his Limus wine project. One to watch, carefully, closely, with your senses. Scary Gully is the vineyard, and the fruit is organically farmed. Here is chardonnay, direct pressed to barrel and then left alone to the wonders of fermentation, with no additions or additives in winemaking. Magical. The wine has strong perfume of lemon butter, faint oyster shell, light nougat and a lift of floral honeysuckle character. It's a juicy, fleshy chardonnay but with blistering acidity underlying, cool and fresh, with a long, drawn out, vibrant finish. Beautiful drinking here.
