Little Frances Luschinger Vineyard Semillon 2017

Lake County rises high above the north end of the Napa Valley, over the Mayacamas Mountain range. Classic Bordeaux varieties dominate vineyard plantings in this agricultural basin. Warm summer days are moderated by the cooling mass of Clear Lake - California's largest natural lake. It’s got the good touches of semillon maturity here with wheat biscuit, arrowroot biscuit, honeycomb and faint toasty elements in play with fresh lime, lemon curd, dill and cucumber in tonic going on. Somewhat slippery texture falls into a pool of cool, briny acidity to finish. Toastiness lingers in a pleasing, lovely way. The wine is very enjoyable, and in the zone. - The Wine Front
