Ludwig Bindernagel is a gem of a man, a hardworking vigneron based out of Poligny in Jura. He tends his vines (within walking distance of his house) organically, spending most of his time outdoors paying very detailed attention to his growing. His wines are made in a rustic cellar under his home and are produced without any additions. This pinot noir is savoury, all sour cherry and truffle-mushroom earthiness with a good dusting of cinnamon spice. There's some green herbal lift and a brambly character in the mix too. It's a very autumnal feeling wine, and so delicious for it.
