Majama Wines Inzolia 2024

Majama Wines is the creative collaboration between partners Millie Shorter & Rojer Rathod. Rojer is from Gujarat, India and is an emerging wine maker in the Hunter Valley wine region. Millie is an Australian creative specialising in textile & graphic design.

​Majama means "happy", "enjoyment" or "fun" in Gujarati. We aim to express the simplicity of the fruit into the bottle with a minimal intervention approach to winemaking. We chose to focus our attention to lesser known, hot climate varietals, in particular those indigenous to Sicily. 

Inzolia is a rare native white variety predominantly grown in Sicily. Our inzolia fruit was hand picked from the Murray Darling region of Victoria and lovingly pressed and made on Wonnarua Country, in the Hunter Valley region of NSW.

Medium bodied with bright acidity. Flavors of lemon zest, green apple, pear, and light salinity with a nutty, herbal mineral backbone. - Majami Wines
