A perfect example of variety fit for the Australian climate. There are a few mencia plantings now in Australia and this wine clearly shows us why. It is predominantly mencia with a little alicante bouschet, that is fermented 90% destemmed and aged in large oak and stainless steel. Straight away when smelling this wine there is a real freshness of violets with aromatic spices, mixed in with bright red fruits. It is so juicy on the palate, with relaxed tannins, which makes it easy to finish a glass, let alone a bottle!
