A fresh Aussie single malt that we here at P&V are fully behind! When Adam Bozzetto (owner and importer of delicious Japanese whisky, aka Mita Whisky) heard head distiller Joe Dinsmoor from Archie Rose was heading down to Lawrenny in Tassie, his interest was peaked! Eager to collaborate they put their heads together to make this fresher style of whisky and avoid that rich 'over cooked' flavour profile. Using locally sourced barley and ageing in an ex-sherry apera (a small 20L barrel). Despite the shorter ageing time to produce that fresher lighter style, this whisky by no means disappoints. Caramel-honey, spice, light toasted cereals and a warm rounded sherry finish, for lovers of Japanese whisky this one has a distinctly Aussie twang to it which merges the two flavour profiles beautifully. Top us up, we have finished ours already!
