This is the very last vintage from the Cardinia Ranges vineyard. Its rose made entirely from Pinot noir of various different clones, grown on nutrient-poor, sandy, decomposed granite soils.
The resulting wine is fine boned and detailed whilst still having flesh and complexity in spades. It has slightly more weight than the previous 2 incarnations of the cuveé but does not in any way lack elegance. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel this is by no means a ‘fruit forward’ rosé. It is savoury and mineral driven, largely from the granitic soils and boulders on which it is grown on. - Dane Johns, winemaker
