Marc Ollivier from Domaine de la Pépière in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine region, is one of the most sort after producers these days coming out of the Loire Valley. His vineyards are so unique due to the fact that they lie on granite, which encompasses only about 5% of the total vine area. You really feel this terroir in all of his wines, a density that makes for very addictive drinking. Instantly when you taste this wine you are hit with very fresh pear notes and stone fruits, but this is matched with some lovely lingering minerality. What a bargain!
