The soils are clay with gravel and schist. From a very ripe vintage, with small yields, the 2025 estate Chenin Blanc was pressed slowly then fermented and aged on fine lees in oak foudres for 8 months which were regularly topped up. It is fruit forward and aromatic on the nose (pineapple), but finishing with a touch of beautiful bitterness, and a little more tension than usual, something possibly explained by the aging in foudre. In the end the schist always has a say.
