Awamori is a rice based beverage uniquely belonging to Okinawa, Japan. Made from long grain Indica rice but unlike sake which is brewing it is the direct result of distilling. The most popular way to drink Awamori is with water and ice, however is can commonly be drunk straight.
Founded in 1846 Shinzato Shuzo is the oldest distillery in Okinawa and is currently run by the 7th generation distiller. Ryukyu Premium is a delicate Awamori displaying delicate mineral notes, rich spices and a long smooth and warm finish.
