Santini Collective Bourgogne Blanc 2020

This is Mâconnais white from Uchizy from one of the most avant garde producers of all in Burgundy. The collective also has drawn in natural wine acolytes Vin Noe and Australian expat Domaine Dandelion, plus others who have shifted into the shared space. Off beat expressions, but excellent for mine.

This is perhaps more kin with Jura savagnin in a way, lemon-ginger tea, lots of sea spray, briny minerality, cucumber, grilled nuts, quite lush but with that clatter and freshness of talc-like puckering minerality and zesty, scintillating freshness. Loose knit but tightens into puckering grip. So refreshing, so interesting and such a delicious, left-of-centre expression here. Ripper. - The Wine Front
