The brain child of an Australian and a Mexican, could there be a more classic combination... These two young blokes are based out of McLaren Vale in South Australia and focus purely on biodynamic farming of alternative varieties. Every year they release an aglianico and every year it just keeps getting better and better. The grapes themselves for this wine hang out on the vine until may. For many other varieties you would be left with crap grapes fit for nothing but the birds. But this wine has no additions and yet has this awesome acidity met with such perfume and juicy fruits and a smokiness that is hard to not resist. What a curious and yet confusing wine, must try!
