From Provincia di Pavia in Lombardia, this is a three-way blend of croatina, barbera and uva rara comes from Castello di Stefanago. The estate is roughly 150 acres of predominantly meadows and forest, with some orchards and arable land mixed in. The 18 acres of vines grow at 320-470 metres above sea level around the 14th cenury castle. The Baruffaldi family have been custodians of the estate for five generations and have worked organically since 1986.
