Sud de Frank wines are the result of the Original Odd-Couple pairing of Jared Dixon, of Jilly Wines in New England, NSW, and Dan Graham of Sigurd in the Barossa. The concept being fine, thirst quenching wines, made with grapes from both of their respective regions, at an approachable price point.
The result? In this instance, Petit Manseng of New England, dancing the light fandango with Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills. House White material this is not, it's full-flavoured, lusciously textured, there are decent whiffs of lime zest, tropical fruit and perfectly ripe banana, but before you think you have drunkenly made out with Carmen Miranda's hat, the whole thing gets cleaned up with fantastic crisp, tight acidity. Such good value, such good people. Jump in!
