Home winemaker Scott Cosgriff has been quietly making a bit of wine for mates, under the cover of darkness, but government fees have gone with COVID friendliness in mind, so a liquor license has emerged and wines are available beyond friend and family circles. Thanks! This one is fermented on skins for a few hours, sent to old oak, left on lees. It's from a vineyard in Murrumbateman.
Wow. Holy Moses this is delicious. Has all that savoury, oatmeal and cookie dough character but firm, chewy acidity, just ripe stone fruit characters, sprigs of herb and a powdery tannin keeping things in line. Dials up the chardonnay personality, lends texture, feels thirst quenching, a little abstract in the best possible way. Startled by the price. - The Wine Front
