Handpicked and pressed together, then fermented cool and raised in a seasoned puncheon. In rosé terms, the Pinot was on the riper side and the Syrah was still well under. The result is that the Syrah brings the spice and drive, and the Pinot the strawberry and jaffa flavour. Darker looking rose (rosado!) with a good deal of sour cherry, dry, savoury spice, crunch to texture and a slosh of rose hip tea character.
