The Watts distillery dates back to 1762 and had a proud tradition of producing good whiskies. Tyrconnell (named after a successful racehorse owned by the Watt family) was their flagship product and a best seller in the United States before Prohibition. Beautiful golden in colour, there are sweet aromas of anise cookie, peppery spice, and cocoa. Medium-to full-bodied palate with caramel, toasted nuts, and peppery spices. Finishes with a long hay, mineral, and caramel fade.
