Produced from trebbiano produced in fibreglass, brought to life from ‘rustic pressing’, so some time on skins through the very slow squeezing, relaxed juice extraction process that takes ‘a surprisingly long time’. No racking until bottling, no sulphur added. This wine comes from a pint-sized farm, 40-plus year old vines in Pianella a parish of Pescara in the more or less the middle of Abruzzo. Rabasco are also responsible for some of the most outstanding rose from Italy, or so I say.
Scents of ferns, mixed citrus, Real Lemonade. More of the same to taste, electric acidity, juiciness around that but with this distinct crackle and crunch to texture. Mouth-watering fresh finish. Magnificent wine, so pure feeling and fresh. My oh my, this isn’t going to last long, and yet it will be memorable, I feel. - The Wine Front
