Selecting three of their oldest peated casks (two quarter casks and a fresh Bourbon barrel). According to the distiller, it’s a “drop of joy in the hand and pure pleasure on the palate”.
On the nose you get wafts of heather honey with subtle campfire smoke from the peat influence. In the mouth, delicate floral tones from the nose segue into dried autumnal fruits with plenty of grain, all infused with a delicate sweetness of raisin and honey. It also has a deliciously oily texture that will make you want to swirl the Whisky around in your mouth for a while. The finish is awash with floral and fruit flavours, slowly fading to a peppery, smoky close.
