Our first serious attempt at chardonnay. We waited until we could get our hands on exceptional quality fruit and a volume which meant we could include a small portion of quality new french oak. Ageing the wine in barrel and bottle for 15 months prior to release is also really important. The vineyards are both in the heart of the Piccadilly Valley. This is an elegant but full flavoured and complex chardonnay that we are very proud of. - Louis Schofield, wine maker
