A new wine for us in 2023, from grenache vines planted in deep ancient sand in 1958 and lovingly tended by Fiona Wood. This is a lighter style of grenache with fine detailed tannins from judicious whole bunch fermentation. The name refers to a Washington DC post-hardcore band, which in turn was referring to a Stravinsky ballet that caused a full blown riot in Paris, which in turn was referring to ancient Pagan rituals in which a “Chosen One” was sacrificed to the Earth by dancing until their death… - Worlds Apart
