This is a blend of chardonnay, jacquere and roussette from Savoie, off 60 year old vines. Organic/biodynamic certified. Savoie with x-factor.
Textural, medium weight expression, the chardonnay seems to lead and lends plushness and slurpy attributes while the other varieties send through a crystalline, saline, minerally edge. Stone fruits, frangipani, shortbread and ginger on show with faint alpine herb characters across the bouquet and palate. Quite mouth-filling, not rich, but present in the palate with each sip. It’s charming and feels quietly complex. Quite generous for Savoie white wine. - The Wine Front
