Since we first started at P&V we’ve had this secret squirrel project going with Brokenwood winery in the Hunter Valley, an unlikely ally in the world of natural wine, but one with an open heart and mind to some ideas that have resulted in this collaboration. They’re beautiful people there, by the way. From their sustainably grown plot of semillon the team harvest enough fruit to fill an oval shaped foudre at their winery, they ferment it on skins for more or less a year, then in the ‘Radikon tradition’ let the pressed juice sit a year and then mature the wine in bottle for a year (or more!) before release. The resulting orange wine is so complex, so textural, minerally, lemony and all up so very resolved. We’re so pleased to release the last of the 2021 as an exclusive.
