Akkeshi Daikan is the sixth whisky in the "24 Sekki" series inspired by the ancient Japanese calendar where a year is divided into 24 solar seasons, each of which has a name and is associated with a specific seasonal change such as the onset of winter or the spring equinox. Daikan, the 24th and last season, refers to the period of winter when the days are coldest.
Created by blending Akkeshi single malts matured in Quercus serrata (a unique type of oak), Sherry, bourbon and wine barrels, with imported grain whisky that adds weight to the expression.
A perfect balance can be found between sweet citrus notes and the unique blend of oranges, strawberries and brown sugar. An rare, sophisticated whiskey that will tantalise your taste buds with its exquisite harmony. The finish is pleasantly surprising with spicy notes of white pepper, the bitterness of cocoa and the sweetness of chocolate and a touch of salty peat. Enjoy a luxurious sip of indulgence at its best.
