Margan Breaking Ground Cabernets 2023

The Breaking Ground range is done by younger gen Margan, Ollie, who is these days assisted by the super talented Sholto Broderick of Basket Range Wines, who hangs out in the Hunter before his Adelaide Hills harvest season begins. He knows cabernet, and likely has had a hand in helping shape this delightful, medium weight, succulent, refreshing red wine with fine, sandy tannins helping out. Lots of blueberry fruit, cassis faintly there, bay leaf, flinty mineral notes and cedary spice. It’s such a lovely, easy drink, while also feeling quite classy.
