QuiQuiRiQui Matatlan Espadin Mezcal
Regular price $115
Single estate Mezcal, QuiQuiRiQui is made in small batches in collaboration with families who have been producing traditional mezcal in their communities for generations. Produced in the village of Santiago Matatlan this Joven Mexcal is made using Espadin Agave which is roasted in fire pits and crushed in the traditinal meths with a Tahona which is a large stone wheel and fermented outdoors in oak barrels. A typical 'house' style it shows soft and smooth smoked agave, bright herbaceousness and peppery finish.
The name "Qui-Qui-Ri-Qui" (pronounced Kee-Kee-Ree-Kee) comes from the sound a rooster makes.
