Matassa Cuvee Alexandria 2023

If you are looking for a wine with jaw dropping aromatics/florals, this is the wine for you. This wine is made by the cult figure of Tom Lubbe who moved into the area of Coteaux du Fenouillèdes in 2001 and immediately took over a run down old vineyard. The vineyard is now biodynamic and is run so well that all of his wines have absolutely no additions. This wine is highly aromatic showing rose blossoms and rich stone fruits, yet is very tight on the palate with an intense acidic finish. Excellent with food.
