From Murcia, so an off Mallorca excursion for this younger gen producer. An interest in the variety monastrell drove the exploration.
There’s some earth and scree here, game meat and animale, dark cherry, plum and faint prune whiffs, green olive and alpine herb. The flavour profile similarly set, crisp in tannin and saline acidity, quite rich, sloshy, but curiously set in a fresh, just under medium weight frame, with a building pucker of mineral-charged tannin. Finishes savoury, earthy and yet lively. Tannins a big and pleasing feature. - The Wine Front
