Jean-Christophe Garnier has a small plot in in the Layon of Anjou, in the Loire Valley where he has vines that are anywhere between 40-60 years of age. The Les Nouettes is a blend of grolleau and pinot d'Aunis. Slighty stalky red fruit from the grolleau complemented by the soaring bergamot and white pepper aromatics of the pineau d'Aunis. Delicious and incredibly morish.
