Valdibella Sulle Bucce Terre Siciliane IGP Grillo 2023

Valdibella is a cooperative formed by ten organic farms operating in Camporeale, a Sicilian village in the province of Palermo. Operating under a “Charter for Biodiversity,” crops of olives, figs and pomegranates are integrated with the vines. The co-op believes that “a monoculture, even if organic, is always negative.” The aim is to minimize the differences with the original ecosystem. When in balance the plants can be healthy and nutritious. 

This is biodynamic Sicilian grillo that sees eight days skin maceration with no sulphur added at any stage. Tropical fruit notes, white flowers and citrus tang. Dried herbs, serious minerality  and chalky tannins make this more complex than meets the eye. Good stuff.
