The cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot are interplanted in a single vineyard, an interesting way of planting grapes, and thus are harvested all together and co-fermented. The pinot noir comes in as a seasoning. It’s a lighter style red with hazy texture, distinct in its unfiltered kind of feel. That’s a pleasing distinction in the wine, alongside sour cherry, raspberry, dusty spice and herbal elements that interplay. Easy drinking, lots of character. Very nice, very nice.
