Brothers Thierry and Jean-Marie Puzelat are some of France's most significant and interesting natural wine producers, set alongside names like Overnoy, Ganevat, Foillard, Lapierre, as examples, and are intensely focussed on organic farming on unique soils with heritage vines. These wines are cult classics, beautiful, fresh and pure. Small allocations are commonplace, the wines revered for their energy in youth and ability to cellar for long periods.
Organic Sauvignon Gris and Chardonnay grapes were harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeast, then aged in old oak barrels, eventually bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. This is a classy and elegant natural white wine made from a rare clone of Sauvignon Blanc and an aromatic clone of Chardonnay.
