AA Badenhorst Secateurs Red Blend 2021

Made by AA Badenhorst, who pretty much put Swartland on the global map. Everything is done by hand, with reference to hand pruning and picking via the secateurs. Forty plus year old bush vines. Traditional methods of gentle pressing, aka foot stomping, wild yeast fermentation and ageing in cement or neutral oak barrels let the grapes speak for themselves. Cinsaut, grenache and shiraz are blended together in this medium weight red. It's got all that purple fresh fruit with a hit of peppery spice and supple grip.
