Winemaker Nichola Midgley was making wine in her kitchen from market bought grapes as part of an experience to refine her wine knowledge, while studying Wine Science at Charles Sturt. The bucket science wines have grown to four tonnes or so, and we have a suite of wines that result from that! Now the wine is being made in a backyard workshop in inner Sydney's Marrickville -  the 'winery/workshop' includes some Georgian qvevri and a few other vessels. This spent three weeks on skins in the qvevri. Tinkler's Vineyard, sustainably grown, a newer block, supplied the fruit. 

There's a herbal seam through the wine, so too some more generous stone fruit characters, sugared almond, pickled ginger and brined green olive. A good chomp of powdery tannins, a chalky, puckering finish. Zippy, grapefruit pulp freshness in the wine. On the cusp of the side of the edge, but delivers a satisfying, fun, orange wine experience. - WineFront.com.au
