The vigneron behind Les Vignes de Babass is Sebastien Dervieux, who, in cahoots with his winemaker mate, Jean-Christophe Garnier, are the organizers of the wine festival Les Vins Anonymes, in Angers, France - a wine-tasting that celebrates artisan wine producers who work without chemicals in vineyard, and use no additions, including sulphur, in winemaking. Babass Groll n Roll is a pretty wild-edged wine, mainlining the lightish red grape variety grolleau here; crunchy, bright, spicy, insanely drinkable from this release.
