Origen Raiz Del Espiritu Madrecuixe Mezcal

From the Cortes family palenque in Oaxaca, this baby is loaded with aromatics and herbaceous bite. It’s made from the palm-tree-like madrecuishe agave, known for high minerality and intense vegetal character. What sets this particular distillation apart is the dangerous level of drinkability. It’s quite green on the nose, and on the palate you’ll get hits of wild strawberries, red and purple flowers, a faint Campari-esque tang and a refreshingly bitter finish. Be warned: the bottle will be empty before you know it.
