Lush, supple syrah that marries game meat, flinty mineral notes, puffs of nutmeg and clove, dark, squishy cherry, wild herb, green pepper, bitter amaro and blood orange characters all together in a warming, rumbling, palate staining affair. It’s a ripper drink, it does sit at the warmer end of syrah, a touch breathy in that way, but the charisma is all here, the joyous nature of the variety on show, the depth and richness likewise.
