Carignan and merlot sourced from neighbouring vineyards in Villeneuve de Berg. While still displaying the hallmark delicate elegance that is a through-line in all of Daniel's reds, this blend definitely leans more towards the medium-bodied end of the spectrum. Fine-but-firm tannins underpin a melange of blue fruit, black cherry, dried herbs, anise and flinty minerality. Complex but more-ish, in an effortless and quietly confident sort of way.
