Henri Le Roy began his career as a Biologist in Paris but soon realized his true passion was wine. In early 2004, he pursued that dream, seeking land to grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With Burgundian land prices being sky high, he turned to the Jura — a region with ancient soils and mountains for cross-country skiing, a personal hobby.
Henri settled in and focused not on Jura’s traditional veil-aged wines, but on the ouille (topped-off) style, preserving freshness and vibrancy in a Burgundian spirit. He named his estate Domaine de l'Aigle à Deux Têtes ("Two-Headed Eagle") after the Habsburg dynasty that once ruled the region. - Terrason Wines, Importer
