Domaine de Montbourgeau L'Etoile Savagnin 2019

Third and fourth generation farmers at a small estate in L’Etoile, the smallest pocket of the Jura, in the southwest. Farming done without chemicals, everything in the vineyard done by hand, grapes crushed by foot the traditional way. Proof that old school is good school. 

Oxidative style of savagnin that spends 3-4 years in oak without topping up. Aromas of hazelnuts, cumin, red apple and oxidative sherry-like notes. The palate is powerful and  richly textured, with notes of red apples, white fruits, spice and a long mineral finish. Think baby Vin Jaune!
