Domaine Matassa Cuvee Marguerite 2023

Matassa is a small, naturally farmed estate in the Pyrenees-Orientales, with 15 hectares of vineyard between 30 and 115 years old. 

This vino is equal parts muscat petit grain, muscat d'alexandrie and macabeu, harvested by hand in the early morning into 12kg boxes. It's fermented with indigenous yeast in oak barrels, foudre and demi-muids. Aged on lees for 10 months sans bâtonnage (no stirring !). It has a perfumed nose, white florals and citrus, but for all it's fragrance it's a light, gentle and balanced expression, with soft acid, apricot skins, green apples and a savouriness to finish. Parfait.
