The Vinet family have farmed their vineyards since 1948. Starting with the La Quilla domaine, they acquired the Domaine Saint Martin in 2000.
Simple done well is the best suit of the variety melon de Bourgogne, and it’s done well in spades here. Light weight, crisp enough, juicy enough, a lime squeezed in mineral water feel with that sense of oyster shells and brine that comes with gentle minerality. So pure, so clean, so fresh. It’s an energetic, light weight white for delicate dishes, or just guzzling, generally. Brilliant.
