Dubonnet Rouge Aperitif

Created by Parisian chemist Joseph Dubonnet as a malaria preventative for soldiers serving in North Africa. Red and white wine from the from Rousillon region of France is fortified and blende with local herbs and spices such as quinine, orange peel, coffee beans, cinnamon and camomile before being aged for a minimum of three years.
Drink on ice with a slice of lemon or in a Negroni in replacement of sweet vermouth.
