It is not often we are lucky enough to come across Scotch which has seen the inside of the Ratafia cask, but this is exactly what we have here. A full and rich single malt from Glenrothes in Speyside, distilled in 2007 and aged for 11 years in a hogshead filling before being transferred and completing its last 2 years of ageing in a Champagne Dumangin J Fils Ratafia Champenois bin. Ripe and round and strikingly elegant, there are notes of peaches, apricots, honeysuckle, vanilla and caramel.
