Edenflo Pinot Noir 2024

Andrew Wardlaw is a very singular winemaker, working solo, tending his organic veggies, eking out small batches of wine in his backyard shed, making cider, listening to 90s Trip Hop and Grunge music. He’s a unique thinker and his wines sit on a beautiful knife edge of technical winemaking and abstract expressionism. This, a pinot noir from the Barossa Valley (that’s unusual!), is a plush but brightly lit rendering of the variety with ripe cherry, tart raspberry, a wild streak of tangy herbal detail and a good dose of white pepper. Refreshing and yet with richness.
