The Terre a Mano Carmignano is 75% sangiovese, 10% canaiolo nero, and 15% cabernet sauvignon. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented spontaneously in glass-lined concrete vats, macerated for 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged 28 months in old 350L barrels on fine lees, then 6 months in bottle.
In the glass, it’s a deep, clean ruby red. The nose is subtle and elegant, with red cherries, wild berries, violets, tobacco, spice, and earthy notes. On the palate, fine tannins and bright acidity give structure, while a mineral backbone drives a long, persistent finish. At five years old, it’s just entering its ideal drinking window, with plenty of life ahead. - Another Bottle, Importer
