Peramangk Country
Produced by the excellent, cult winemaker Matt Rorick who is based in California but travels to Aus in his off-season of winemaking to play around with South Australian fruit.
It delivers a great experience all right. Limey, lemony, some ginger, a touch of green almond with a haziness to texture and a core of blisteringly fresh, green apple tang. Some saline notes in here too - we love the salty whites - though you could say minerally in the same breath. Great texture is a feature too. Very cool to see a US winemaker take on such a stately, white grape variety from Australia and hit it for six … this is utterly delicious.
