A bit of background: Genie is eternally smiley winemaker Jeanie Taylor, who makes these wines on the NSW South Coast with fruit from the esteemed Rosnay Organic Vineyard in the Central West. Gef is Jeanie’s dog and labelling buddy who is often in the way. This is shiraz, grenache, mourvedre all blended up together, wild fermented and then makes for fizzy wine together in the bottles. A light, fresh, red berry fruit orientated style with dashes of spice, rose hip tea and crunchy, blood orange tang.
