GilGraves saw just about all of their wine stock destroyed in the tragic, Harcourt bushfires - the entire Harcourt cold stores was obliterated, taking out many wine, beer, spirit and primary producers stock. GilGraves are beautiful producers from Central Victoria and have managed to amass a little spare wine from friends to keep going. 

This wine comes from a longer maturation in barrel, on lees, to build complexity and interest into the often somewhat skeletal and skittish variety. It works a treat. It sits in a medium weight kind of zone, lays in classic green pear and tonic water characters with salted hazelnut savouriness, some walnut notes, a touch of dried herbs and a cool, pleasingly bitter, grapefruity finish. Textural, salty white wine ahoy!
